I have a whole list of topics for shit I need to write and post. And maybe I will write and post those topics. Eventually. It's hot out. Litigation is getting me down. I've had some great vacations lately but need more. Last night's Futurama was meh-plus. Better Melville shout-outs in the one with the brains and Queequeg from back before it was canceled again. I bought a bike. It's too hot to ride it most days.

Becaue I was totally looking forward to scoring cool stuff by looting the homes of those who ascended up to heaven with Jeezis...or whatever those peope believe. Anyhow, I was looking forward to a couple of new cars and some more guns. Alas.
It's a lovely day on my back patio and the beer I cached for Armageddon is going down nicely. Not a complete loss.
PS - really, Arnold? That chick is fugly. Then again, you married Maria Shriver.

Osama bin Laden. In the head, no less. Awesome.
I also want to take this opportunity to point out what a great job President Bush did in making this happen. Oh, wait - that guy never killed Osama. Not even once. Never mind.

1. at HanShikTaco. In the parking lot of Lee's Discount Liquor on W. Lake Mead. Tasty, tasty grub. Two for five bucks. Damn.
2. at Frankie's Tiki Bar. Too many Rockabilly/Bettie Page dorks hang out there to make it more than a curiosity, but their drinks are fruity and strong.
3. on stubbies of Full Sail Session. The 11 oz bottles are technically a ripoff but they are fun to chug. Not a bad "kill a dozen with a pal in the back yard" beer.
The economy, unlike the average fourteen-year-old, is not going to stimulate itself.

BATB was, as it is every year, a great time. Like the past three times, I was on the ice with pals. Like the past four times I've been up Chequamegonwards in February, I'll be closing my eyes and thinking of it when it's 117 here and I am trying to not snap someone's neck. Anyhow, I have been useless about updating (see prior entry) and am presenting these photos without much in the way of commentary. Go to the BATB website to see what it's about or just look at my past several years' worth of entries in the "Northern WI" category.

As always, it was a great time. Unfortunately, some 16 year-old townie and a bud thought it would be rad to tear ass across the ice in a car after the race was over. They struck and killed a guy who was skiing back to Ashland from Washburn. A terrible end to a great night...
