Saturday was USA Sevens Rugby Tournament. The Boy and I wound up with a posse of South Africans and spent from 11 am til 5 sitting in the sun at Sam Boyd Stadium picking up on the finer points of that fantastically asskickity sport. Helping things was the fact I made friends with the bartender, who made it very clear that the foreigners making up 90% of the crows sucked at tipping. I made sure he knew I had a Vegasy frame of mind about tokes and life got good. Ridiculously so. By the end, I was just getting glasses full of vodka and ice and told to take the mixer with me. Our hosts got good and tanked, I had a fine day in the sun, The Boy gorged on peanuts, lemonade and biltong, everyone happy.

Sunday was Hockey Day. The Wranglers managed to get their asses handed to them by Victoria. Couple of great fights. The Boy said to me "Rugby is great but I want to be a hockey player when I grow up." I managed to hide the tear of joy. Afterward, we broke speed limits, got to Ethel M and picked up the VDay present I had spaced. It's nice living five minutes from a high-end chocolate factory sometimes.

December went off well enough. Good holiday, everyone got cool toys, yadda yadda yadda.

January was mostly work, etc. HOWEVER, there were notable highlights, including a deposition in Portland. I headed up the weekend before and hung with Kobuster and the Bags. Lots of football, booze and meat were involved. Also spent a fine evening hanging out with some of my siblings. More meat and booze...they're good kids.

Archer Season One came out on DVD and if you haven't seen it, get off your ass and fix that.
